The WTC Islamabad building initially had to be a 5 Towers High Rise Complex. It’s design later changed to a Low Rise Single Tower. The concept of the building design came from ATKINs. The detail design was later done and enhanced by Arch Vision Plus.
Groundbreaking for WTC Islamabad took place on 21 Jan 2008 . It was contracted to a joint consortium of Mazyood Giga International, IJM Golf Malaysia, and NESPAK. The use of prefabricated components under the supervision of Structure Designer Mr. Orangzaib Alam Khan helped the construction process. It was completed in February 2015 and the Mall was opened to the General public the next year.
Once fully operational, the WTC Islamabad complex will hold space for more than 400 national and international companies. It will provide a space for commerce and trade, turning Islamabad into a metropolitan hub for the entire region.
